Blama Preschool is already half built. Students in the Salone PEP Club worked tirelessly to raise the funds to begin construction.  The club, consisting of 4th, 5th and 6th Graders at Mason Intermediate School, Mason, Ohio, collected nearly $9,000 in 5 years.

During the 2009 – 2011 school years, Salone PEP Club recorded and sold Foh Salone, a CD to which other community musicians also donated tracks. They raised around $5,000.00, selling the CD as well as making several appearances at churches around the Greater Cincinnati area, singing and asking for donations.  During the 2011 – 2013 school years, Sponsor-A-Brick was another very successful way in which the Salone PEP Club raised funds.  At $5 per brick, they raised around $3,000.00.  They also brought in other donations from family and friends.

A year after Faith Lester, the project coordinator, retired as 4th Grade Music Teacher, the Salone PEP Club ended, realizing that Blama Preschool was well on its way to becoming a reality.

We’re very proud of the dedication and creativity of The Salone PEP Club at Mason Intermediate School, as they raised enough funds to build Blama Preschool to its present level.
